How BuyMyApple collects, uses and protects your information.

Last updated: 14 October 2026 · www.buymyapple.com

BuyMyApple (“we”, “us” or “our”) operates the website www.buymyapple.com (the “Website”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information safely and responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your information when you visit the Website, place an order, ask to sell us a device, or contact us.

1Information we collect

1.1 Personal information

  • Contact information: your name, email address, phone number and delivery address, when you place an order, contact us or send us a request.
  • Order details: the items you order, your delivery or pick-up choice and any notes you add.
  • Sell-your-device and request details: the device model, storage, condition, battery information and photos you send when you ask us to buy your device, request a watch or ask to be told when an item is back in stock.
  • Payment information: we do not collect card details on the Website. Orders are paid in cash on delivery. If we add other payment methods, we will update this policy.

1.2 Non-personal information

  • Browsing data: IP address, browser type, operating system and the pages you visit, as recorded in standard server logs.
  • Device information: the type of device and screen size you use to view the Website.

1.3 Information from other sources

  • Messaging platforms: enquiries you send us through WhatsApp, Instagram or TikTok.

2How we collect information

  • Directly from you: when you place an order, send a request through the Website, email us at sales@buymyapple.com or info@buymyapple.com, or message us on WhatsApp.
  • Automatically: through server logs as you browse, and through your browser, which keeps your shopping cart on your own device.

3How we use your information

  • Order processing and delivery: to prepare your order, arrange delivery with riders or courier partners, and keep you updated.
  • Customer care and warranty: to answer your questions and help with warranty or service centre support.
  • Buying your device: to assess the device you want to sell us and make you an offer.
  • Updates you ask for: such as restock alerts. If we send promotional messages, you can opt out at any time.
  • Legal compliance and fraud prevention: to prevent fraudulent orders and to meet our legal obligations in Kenya.

4How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these cases:

  • Service providers: trusted third parties who help us run the business, such as delivery riders and courier partners, and our website hosting and email providers.
  • Legal obligations: when the law, a court order or an authorised government body in Kenya requires it.
  • Business transfers: in a merger, reorganisation or sale of the business.

5Cookies and local storage

The Website saves your shopping cart, your saved items and a few preferences in your browser's local storage so they are remembered on your device. You can clear this at any time in your browser settings, but your cart may then be emptied.

We also use Google Analytics to count visits, such as which pages are viewed, the type of device and the general area visitors come from, so we can improve the Website. It uses cookies and does not tell us who you are. You can block these cookies in your browser settings.

6Data security

We use technical and organisational safeguards, including HTTPS encryption and restricted access to our order and request records. While we take reasonable care, no online system is completely free of risk.

7Your rights and choices

Under Kenyan data protection law you have the right to:

  • Access: ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: ask us to correct information that is out of date or wrong.
  • Deletion: ask us to delete your information, unless we must keep it by law, for example for accounting.
  • Opt out: stop receiving messages from us at any time.
  • Portability: ask for your information in a structured format.

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

8Data retention and storage

We keep order and transaction records for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting purposes. We keep other information only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. Our website and email are hosted by service providers that may store data outside Kenya, and we choose providers that use appropriate safeguards.
